2016 New Mexico Rural Health Care Practitioner Tax Credit

Since January, 2007 and extending to the 2016 tax year, there is a New Mexico tax credit available for eligible health practitioners working in approved locations in New Mexico of up to $5,000. 

There are two ways to apply for the credit:

  1. Complete the 2016 New Mexico Rural Health Practitioner Tax Credit Application and mail it with a copy of your license directly to the New Mexico Department of Health to the address provided on the application.
  2. Complete the 2016 New Mexico Rural Health Practitioner Tax Credit Application, scan application and license and submit by email to RHCP.TaxCredit@state.nm/us.

Please note the certificates will be emailed to you once approved. It is best to file as soon as possible in order to recieve the approved certificate in time to file your 2016 tax returns.
