Center for Health Innovation - UPDATE NM

The Center for Health Innovation’s UPDATE NM (Understanding Provider Demands and Advancing Timely Evidence in New Mexico) is an academic detailing program for health care providers. Cutting-edge research and evidence is summarized and packaged into ready-to-use tools to improve the quality of patient care. Participating health care providers can receive up to five hours of free continuing education that is required for maintenance of medical or nursing licensure. UPDATE NM is part of a statewide effort to reduce the number of opioid overdose deaths in New Mexico. As New Mexico’s designated Public Health Institute, CHI focuses on improving community health in underserved populations in the state and beyond.
